Gerund phrases as subject and object Una  frase de gerundio  es una frase que consiste en un gerundio y cualquier modificador u objeto asociado con él.  Un  gerundio  es un sustantivo hecho a partir de una raíz verbal más  ing  (un participio presente).  Toda una  frase de gerundio  funciona en una oración como un sustantivo, y puede actuar como sujeto, objeto o predicado nominativo. You got some bottled water. Is it enough? Yes, plenty. Good. We use ‘enough’ to say we have as much or as many as we need or want, so a sufficient quantity. Oh, I’m almost out of gas. Do you have enough to get to a petrol station? A petrol station? A gas station. If we don’t have enough, we don’t have the amount we need. Do you want to come for lunch? I can’t.
